The girl circled is Taralynn of UndressedSkeleton, a rather popular “fitblr” here on our quaint little website. In the photo, one can see the caption “She lost 50 pounds the healthy way!” under her name. What’s so bad about that? Well, nothing. Putting aside any fat-phobia,…
Ok I just want to say how sick it is to see someone try to tear down a girl who is doing wonderful things and is a great inspiration to many girls. I just looked through her site myself and I don’t see anything wrong with what she is doing.
You say you have a problem with the fact that she uses artificial sweeteners like “aspartame” First of all id like to see where you got that info because when I looked at her recipes I saw her substituting all natural sweeteners like truvia.
Secondly many people use artificial sweeteners like splenda which contain sucralose and yes artifcial sweeteners have been linked to long term side effects but many people know this and still use them. I’m just saying this girls blog is about healthy weight loss, that doesnt mean she couldnt use artificial sweeteners if she chooses to. She wouldnt be the first person to use artificial sweeteners for weight loss. On my blog I strongly recommend staying away from processed foods and using all natural sweeteners and sticking to wholesome natural ingredient lists. But that fact is many people dont even know about the dangers of artificial sweeteners and this girl may not realize it either, those ingredients are legal and are used in many weight loss products. It isnt this girls duty to tell the world about these ingredients. Overall her blog is very inpirational and could help many girls by motivating and inspiring them and giving them healthy recipes (many of which I reviewed and found to have no artificial sweeteners.) The only unhealthy thing I saw her using in her recipes was food coloring, but she obviously has a passion for baking. Obviously what she is doing worked well for her and it seems to me you have some sort of jealousy issue because her blog was featured in a magazine. She seems like a good role model for young girls to me, and I think seventeen did a fine job choosing who to put in their magazine. Please everyone, do not write seventeen a letter just because someone tells you too. Check out this girls blog first for yourself and form your own opinions. Also I’d just like to point out 2000 calories is just a guideline. Everyones different and 1000 calories would easily be acceptable if much of that is fruits and vegetables because they are low in calories but very high in nutrients and minerals. Someone eating 1000 calories in fruits and veggies is going to be much more nourished than someone eating 2000 calories in fries and fast food.
